Soup lines form in Spanish crisis

Middle class Spaniards head for soup kitchens as national unemployment rates continue to soar.

Unemployment is rising faster in Spain than in any other developed country as its economy built on credit and house building suffers a double collapse.

Predictions of 25 per cent unemployment have been made and already some of those out of work have lost their homes, while others are increasingly dependent on charity soup kitchens for food.
