1 in 3 UK children live in poverty

As leaders of the world's richest economies gather for the G20, children's charity 'End Child Poverty' is calling on the Government for support.

In the UK today nearly 1 in 3 children live in families below the poverty line.

As a result millions of children go without basic necessities such as adequate clothing, a healthy direct or a warm home. According to the official definition, Penny Greenhough and her two children are surviving below the breadline on less than 300 dollars a week.

The Charity 'End Child Poverty' want the government to invest just over 4 billion dollars in benefits to low income families.
