Dutchman spreads the faith with homemade Ark |
Fourteen years ago, Dutch building contractor Johan Huibers had a dream about the Netherlands being submerged by water. That dream inspired him to build a replica model of Noah's Ark as described in the Bible. The boat, which took 16 months to build, opened to the public on April 30. It may be smaller than the original version but at 70 metres long, Huiber' ship still cuts a striking profile along the Dutch canal where it's moored.
