The cane toad measuring 20.5 cm (8 inches) in length and 840 grams (1.8 pounds), double its normal size has been captured in Australia's Northern Territory. These toads are considered a pest in Australia because their poisonous skin can kill the country's native snakes and lizards. The breed was originally introduced to Australia from Hawaii in the 1930's to control native cane beetles. Now there's more than 200 million of them.
